According to EU, it has been estimated that SEPA's market "value" is about €123 billion.
Convergence in SEPA Payment fee prices (decreasing and transparent pricing) will decrease banks' revenues. But on the other hand, due to growing transaction volumes bank revenues will increase.
From company side there are "entry" cost, but ROI of this investment is good - due to more efficent cash management processes and decrease of operational costs .
SEPA -Credit Transfer (and Direct Debit) will be only the first steps - much more huge savings are coming from eInvoicing. eInvoicing would have also a good possibility to replace SEPA Direct Debit. eInvoice + Creditor Reference (RF) would be much more efficient tool to cash management process than traditional Direct Debit.

If you want to get more basic information about SEPA, please consult for example Wikipedia, your bank or European Payment Council (www.europeanpaymentscouncil.eu).
